Joseph F. Daniels JR

Whitehall-Joseph F. Daniels, 75, passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2017 at the Glens Falls Hospital. Joseph was born on November 16, 1941 in Staten Island, NY. He was the son of Isabella (Barry) and Joseph Daniels.

Joe was a 1958 graduate of Whitehall High School. Following high school, Joe joined the Marines and served his country from 1959-1963. Joe has been driving trucks since 1964 and has been working for St. Anne Transportation for the past 25 years. 

Joe married the love of his life, Joan Therrien, on September 12, 1964. They recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. Joe cherished his family above all else.  Joe spoiled his children and grandchildren and always made it a point to be present at all of their activities and sporting events. He also enjoyed NASCAR and boxing. Every Thanksgiving you could count on him participating in the Turkey Bowl, or in later years, watching as a fan.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Evelyn and brother Richard. Survivors include his wife Joan, his children Kim Daniels, Melia St.Clair (Thomas), and Joseph Daniels (Heather), all of Whitehall, and his grandchildren Ryan and Daniel St.Clair and Aiden and Ayla Daniels. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends may call from 4-7pm on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Jillson Funeral Home Inc. 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, NY.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church.  Interment will take place in the Greenmount following the funeral service.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Joe’s name to Bernard and Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center, 43 New Scotland Ave., Albany NY 12208.
