Deborah Christene Tefft, 61 passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 2, 2017 at the Wyoming Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw, NY.

Born in Rochester, NY on December 7, 1955.  She was the youngest of six adoring children to the late H. Royal and Charlotte Mae Ellers Tefft. Surviving are sisters and cherished brothers-in-laws; Jodi (Bill) Shea of Rochester, NY, Charlotte Mary (Ray) Blumenthal of Laytonville, CA. and Karen (Dennis) Hulbert of Plattsburgh, NY, together with her deceased brother Warren and beloved sister-in-law Linda Tefft of Hilton, NY.  Debbie also leaves behind a brother Larry (Linda) Tefft and best friend Jane.  Twelve nieces and nephews include Matthew Shea, Eric Shea, Molly Bibbins, Cassie Miles, Zachary Cantwell, Emily Lloyd, Julie Coon, Janeen Hulbert, Kalena Scott, Stephanie Saiz and 21 loving great nieces and nephews.

Debbie had many interest which include needle arts, music, dancing, dining out, bowling, golfing with her Dad, family and friends at Skene Valley Country Club, making the best chopped salads and, of course, babies!  During her life, she was most fond of spending 6 month-long vacations in Whitehall with her parents and visiting family.

There will be no calling hours.  A memorial service was held at the Silver Lake Day Treatment Center in Perry, NY on Monday September 11, 2017.  A graveside Committal Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday September 29, 2017 for her Family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center (comprehensive medical services for the uninsured and underinsured), 417 South Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620 or to the ARC Foundation of Clinton County, PO Box 1512, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.

We rejoice with Our Lord that Debbie is relieved of all her sufferings over the years.  It is extraordinary that she never asked or anything, loved everyone dearly, gave completely of her special soul and was pure goodness.  Our “wonder women”!
