Whitehall- Louise Lamphere, 95, passed away on June 7, 2018 peacefully after a short illness. Born in 1923 in Whitehall, New York to the late L. Darwin and Marie Lamphere along with her two siblings Jaqueline and Thomas.
Louise joined the US Marines the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor and served 3 years during World War II.
She worked alongside with her on the family farm and also helped her parents manage a family owned elderly care nursing home. After her service in the war she became employed at the Glens Falls Hospital as a Radiology Technician.
Louise was a Hospice volunteer while staying at her winter home in Branford, FL. She was a caregiver her entire life, caring for her parents and siblings thru illness until they preceded her in death.
She helped raise multiple nieces and nephews and was known lovingly to them as “Aunt Sis”. She cared for others selflessly and put others well-being before herself.
She is survived by multiple nieces and nephews.
Louise requested to have no funeral services.

She was an animal lover, nature lover and gardener who took pride in her flower beds. She saved many a stray animals and loved to take long walks.
