Wayne E. Monty

Whitehall- Wayne E. Monty, 77 of Whitehall, passed away on Saturday August 11, 2018 at Rutland Regional Medical Center.  Wayne was born on September 6, 1940 in Whitehall, the son of the late Claude and Vera (Blackburn) Monty.  He married Mary Agnes (Stiles) Monty on May 13, 1962.

He ran the Monty farm in Whitehall for many years until his retirement.  Wayne loved being a farmer and taking care of all of the animals.  He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, trapping, and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants.

Besides his parents he is predeceased by his brother Glen and in-laws Mary and Charles Stiles.

Besides his wife he is also survived by his sons; Chris Monty; Craig Monty; and Chad (Shannon) Monty all of Whitehall.  Daughters; Colleen Loper of Fair Haven VT; Cathaleen Monty of Castleton VT;  Granddaughters Lindsay Monty of Fairbanks, AK; Ashley (Ryan) Bakemeier of Whitehall.  Grandsons Brandon Bloster of Whitehall, Stiles Loper of Fair Haven; and Chad Monty JR of Whitehall.  Great Granchildren; Christopher Bakemeier, Preston Bakemerier both of Whitehall; son-in-law David Pomainville of Whitehall; sister-in-law Patricia Stiles of Fair Haven VT  Sisters; Faye Barber; Joyce (Bob) Banks all of Whitehall; Bonnie Condit of Castelton VT, several nephews and two nieces.  A special friend John Greenwood and Dot Wescott both of Whitehall and a special four legged friend “Rocket”.
