Adrian Charles Davis

Whitehall – Adrian Charles Davis, 67, of Whitehall New York passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 24, 2017.  Adrian was born on November 30, 1949 in Granville, NY, the son of the late Charles and Jessie (Hurlburt) Davis. 

He married the love of his life and best friend Diane Marie Shattuck on September 22, 1973.  He enlisted in the U. S. Navy in July, 1968 and continued his service in the Naval Reserves.  Adrian retired from the New York State Department of Corrections where he was employed as a Principal Engineer.

Adrian loved the outdoors and wildlife, especially birds.  But most of all he loved spending time with his family.  He would help anyone in need at any given moment. 

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Leon Davis and his grandparents Eldridge and Kitty Davis with who he spent his childhood.

Survivors include his beloved wife of almost 45 years Diane Marie Davis, their three children, Lisa Longtin and her fiancé Jock Williamson, Heidi Davis, Mike Davis and his companion Angela Augustinowicz.  His grandchildren Derrick and Jocelyn Longtin, Collin and Coltin Bessette as well as his brother Arnold Davis and his wife Theresa and many close family members and friends.

There will be no calling hours.  A celebration of life will be held at the Whitehall BPOE Elks Lodge on June 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm for immediate family and close friends.
