On June 1st, 2016 the world lost one of the greatest Dads, and one of the best Auto Mechanics. After a long courageous battle with cancer, Anthony (Tony) B. Costantino, 67 of Whitehall NY passed away quietly at his home.
He was born on June 10, 1948 to the late Anthony and Georgianna "Chick" (Herron)Costantino of Whitehall, was the brother to the late Donna (Costantino) Ramey.
Tony was the most devoted Dad, to his daughter Cassandra (Cassie) Costantino, whom he affectionately called Sandy and was the only one allowed to do so. They shared the same interest, cars and animals. Tony was known to bring home animals, from birds to turtles and anything in between, for his daughter to patch up and release while she was growing up. He also brought home a few cats and his beloved dog, Harry, whom were all saved, by Tony, from bad situations. He would always feed a stray cat if it showed up at his garage. He had a true and generous heart that will be greatly missed.
Tony was known for his great wealth of knowledge of Auto Mechanics. He worked for Hometown (Ross) Chevrolet in Whitehall for many years and later retired from there.
There wasn't a car or truck he couldn't fix. If you couldn't figure it out, call Tony! He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was true and loyal friend.
His true passion was to restore antique and classic cars. And he loved to do it side by side with his daughter.
He is survived by his daughter Cassandra, his aunt Myrtle Velma (Herron) Tellier, his twin brother Adelbert Costantino, his nieces Deana Costantino and Lee Ramey, his nephew Del Costantino, his great nieces Rebeccah and Rowan and his favorite grand dog, Oliver.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for immediate family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to honor Tony. The family wishes all donations go to Tony's favorite charity, St Jude's Children's Research Hospital. This can be done online at www.stjude.org or mailed to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Way, Memphis, TN 38105.
Daddy’s Little Girl By: Punkin
If I had my life to do over,
I’d have chosen you to be my dad
once more.
Even if it meant losing you again,
It’s worth all the tears in the
world.
You were my sunshine when skies
were gray.
I loved you and honored you;
You took all my tears away.
I was happy to be with you,
Proud to be your little girl.
Sometimes we would argue,
But to me you meant the world.
Your love was always pure;
You always placed me on a throne.
Your time seemed all too short and
I feel so alone.
What can I take from this?
My heart is completely crushed.
But nothing loved is ever lost –
And you are loved so much.
