Arlene C. (Pond) Williams

Whitehall:  Arlene C. (Pond) Williams, 84, of West Street, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the The Orchard Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre following a short illness.

Born on January 11, 1932 in Hudson Falls, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Luella (Lewis) Pond Sr.

Arlene retired as a house keeper at the Glens Falls Hospital after many years of service and she enjoyed going in early to work every day so she could make the coffee for the doctors.

She enjoyed going to bingo with her sister’s.

Arlene was married in June of 1975 to Donald Williams Sr.

Besides her husband and parents she is predeceased by a daughter Joanne, four brothers Marshall Pond Jr., Emerson Pond, Milton Pond, Robert Pond Sr. 

Also three sisters Natalie Wood, Helen Haley, Lillian Blanchard and step daughter Judy Williams.

Survivors include one brother Frank Pond and his Wife Mary of Poultney Vermont, one sister Eleanor Clark of Whitehall , brother in-law Alfred Haley of Middletown Springs Vermont , her daughter and boyfriend of thirty years Eddy, stepson Donald Williams Jr. and his wife Jackie, stepdaughter Pam Benoit,  several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

There will be no calling hours and a Graveside service will be held at a later date in Greenmount Cemetery in Whitehall
