Barbara A. Riley

Barbara A. Riley, 76, of Henderson, NC, passed away on December 22, 2025. Born in Troy, NY, she spent her early years in upstate New York before building a life rooted in family, resilience and quiet strength. She was the wife of the late Bernard J. “Mack” Riley, with whom she shared many years of partnership, humor and devotion.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy L. Riley and Rachel E. Wortham (predeceased son Bernard); her son‑in‑law, William Wortham; and her grandchildren, Zachary and Alice LaBounty, Autumn Pruitt (Hunter), Rielly Breedlove (Benjamin) and Charlotte Wortham. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna Lennox (Richard) and Pamela Lowjewski (predeceased Andrew), along with extended family members who loved her dearly.

Barbara will be remembered for her generosity, her sharp wit and the warmth she brought into every room. She found joy in simple, meaningful moments—conversations around the kitchen table, time spent with loved ones and the comfort of familiar places. She faced life’s challenges with determination and grace, and her steady presence will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held January 31, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Jillson Funeral Home, 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, NY 12887. Burial will take place in the spring at Greenmount Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with Mack, reunited at last.
