Argyle- Beverly A. LaChapelle passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home. She was 88 years old.
Beverly is survived by her children, Bruce and Pam, Ron and Lisa and Russ and Rachel. Her grandchildren; Brad and Katrina LaChapelle, Tyler and Matthew LaChapelle, and Ada LaChapelle.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband Mitchell and daughter Julie LaChapelle, and Robert Fish of Florida.
Beverly was born on March 16,1938 to Curtis and Eva Fish of Whitehall NY. She graduated from Whitehall High School, Class of 1957. She married Mitchell LaChapelle, the love of her life, on June 15, 1958. Together they resided in many locations, however Argyle was their home. Beverly was a mostly stay at home mom, but she had many part time jobs over the years.
She loved music, playing the accordion, piano and the organ. She played piano at the nursing home and enjoyed working outdoors in her flower gardens. She loved to do ceramics, with Christmas ones being her favorite. She left many of her ceramics to her family to enjoy. She also loved to cook and bake and canned many items from the garden and her famous spaghetti sauce.
Beverly and Mitchell also loved their many pets throughout the years.
Friends and family may call from 2 pm to 4 pm on Wednesday April 1st at the Jillson Funeral Home Inc., 46 Williams St., Whitehall NY. Rev. Zachariah Chichester will conduct a prayer service at 4pm.
The family would like to thank the Fort Hudson Nursing Staff for their compassionate care during her long battle with Alzheimer’s.
