Calvin Ballard

Hampton- Calvin S. Ballard, 90, passed away on November 29, 2025 in the Rutland Hospital.  He was born in Hampton, NY on April 12, 1935. He was the son of the late Sameul and Helen (Minker) Ballard.

He was a Veteran of the US Army Honorable Discharge in 1953.  Calvin was a truck driver most of his life, working for Riblets in Whitehall, and Tatco Slate Quarry in Granville. He enjoyed listening country music and playing with his dogs.

He is survived by his wife Lona (Nutting) Ballard, his children; Richard Roberts (Joan), Edith Whiting, Robert Roberts, Roselyn Lambert (Richard), Tina Farrar, David Ballard (Wendy), Tabitha Farrar, Richard Ellis, and Robert Ellis, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents he is predeceased by his siblings; Samuel, Alvin, and Wilma Ballard, Carol Madison, Melissa Baker, and Freda Smith.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
