Hampton-Catherine “Cathy” Ann Hilder “Williams”, 74, passed away on May 9th, 2024, surrounded by family.
Cathy was born in Hampton, NY on November 8th, 1949, to John Emerson Williams and Marion Margaret Mead Wiliams. She was one of 11 children; John Jr., Josephine “Jodie”, Bernie, Clarence, Virginia “Ginny”, Kevin “Butch”, Marion, and predeceased by Linda, Brenda and Leslie.
Cathy married her loving husband Robert “Bob” Hilder, December 25th, 1968. They raised four children together: Robert “Bobby” Jr., Paul, Scott, and Peter in their lifelong house in Hampton, NY.
Cathy has 7 grandchildren and 5 bonus grandchildren: Bobby and MaryAnn of Hampton, NY with son Justin and wife Shannon and son Cameron with girlfriend Mackenzie, Paul and Sara of Granville, NY with daughter Gabrielle and husband Ben and daughter Lyndsy with fiancé Darin, Scott and Teana of Whitehall, NY with son Justin and girlfriend Jess, and Pete and Courtney of Hampton, NY with daughter Peyton and son Parker.
Cathy retired from Green Mountain College. In her passed time, Cathy enjoyed reading her novels, watching her ever growing flock of birds in her yard; her favorite being the male Cardinals of ruby red complexion, she loved tending to her beloved lilacs, peonies and lily of the valleys, playing and laughing along with her kids and grandchildren every weekend for her dinner gatherings and her famous homemade pizzas, and playing with nerf guns with her kids and grandson Parker. She was and always will be a shining light in our lives, as she never stopped helping those in need right up until the end.
Services will be from 12pm to 2pm, on Saturday June 1, at the Jillson Funeral Home Inc.,
46 Williams St, Whitehall, NY 12887. Bob and Cathy will be laid to rest together following the service at the cemetery on Greenmount Cemetery Lane.
