WHITEHALL and GLENS FALLS- Daniela Mulholland, of Glens Falls, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, Monday, May 1, 2017 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Born February 17, 1953, Daniela was the daughter of the late Leo and Florence "Sis" Mulholland of Whitehall.
Daniela was passionate about family and caring for others. Always eager to help children, she was a pediatric nurse at Glens Falls Hospital, bringing smiles to kids and beloved coworkers for 40 years.
Upon graduation from Whitehall High School in 1971, Daniela enrolled in the Mary McClellan Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1972.
Daniela is survived by seven siblings, all of whom adored her: Sheila Mulholland and her husband, Jonathan Levin-Epstein, of Longmeadow, Mass., Leo Mulholland and his wife, Penny, of Loveland, Colorado, Shawn Mulholland of Whitehall, Maureen (Mulholland) Frasier and her husband, James, of Whitehall, Pamela (Mulholland) DeGroff and her husband, Thomas, of Queensbury, Karen (Mulholland) Grogan and her husband, Shane, of Bangkok, Thailand, and Mark Mulholland of Wilton.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Timothy, and a sister-in-law, Kelly.
Daniela especially enjoyed laughing with, and spoiling her 14 nieces and nephews, whom she often thought of as her own.
Family and friends may call from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2017, at Singleton, Sullivan Potter Funeral Home, 407 Bay Rd., Queensbury.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church on Skene St., Whitehall, with the Pastor Rev. Rendell Torres officiating.
The Rite of Christian burial will take place at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery on County Route 18, Whitehall, immediately following the Mass.
Following the burial, friends are invited to a reception at the Whitehall Elks Lodge 1491, 5 Elks Way, Whitehall.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Daniela's memory may be made to Kelly's Angels, Inc., a charity founded by Daniela's brother, Mark, to help area children who've lost a parent to cancer. Donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 2034, Wilton, NY 12831.
