David E. White

David E. White Sr., 71, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at his home in Hebron, NY.

He was born on July 30, 1954, in Whitehall, the son of the late Ralph White Sr. and Lucy Beam White.

David was a long-time employee for the Sheldon Slate Company, retiring in 2016 after 32 years.

He enjoyed fishing, watching Nascar Races, playing cards and many other games. 

David is survived by his wife Robin Mabb White, of Hebron, his daughters; Tanya of Lake George, Mellissa of Glens Falls, Beatrice (Jim) of North Carolina, Ida of Granville, his Sons David Jr. of South Dakota, Justin (Josh) of Salem, his Siblings; Ralph White Jr. of Kentucky, Carl White (Abby) of Whitehall,  Dianne Bassett (Jeff) of Whitehall and Shirley Bourn of Whitehall. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by his children, stepson Anthony Ross, and his son Derek White, his brothers, Robert, Donald, Carroll, Walter, and his sisters Patricia, Dorothy and Ann.

Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home Inc., 46 Williams Street Whitehall, New York from 2 PM to 4 PM on Friday January 16, 2026.  A prayer service will be conducted following the calling hours.

Following the services there will be a celebration of life at the New Creation Church, 49 Main Street, Granville, New York.
