Genevieve (Marcille) Kelley

Whitehall: Genevieve Kelley 79 of Skenesborough Harbor, passed away on Wednesday November 4, 2015 in the Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness.

She was born on November 22, 1935 in Whiting Vermont, the daughter of William and Gertrude (Currier) Marcille. 

She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and watching TV.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  

She cherished the memories of time spent with her family during the holidays and time spent with her friends at Skenesborough Harbor Apartments especially Katherine and Sandy.

She was employed in her early years at Foley’s Laundry in Rutland Vermont and Staco’s in Poultney Vermont, she later retired from the Fort William Henry Hotel in Lake George.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her sisters Lorraine Marcille and Katherine Marcille.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years Joseph Kelley of Whitehall.  Four daughters, Debbie Grant and her husband Rodney of Maine, Donna Manfredi and her husband Tony of Rutland, VT, Suzanne Stewart and her husband Thomas of Utica, NY, Barbara Timmons and her companion Aaron Honeycutt of South Carolina, one son Joseph Kelley and his companion Shanna Baker of Whitehall, 12 grandchildren and several Great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday November 8, 2015 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Jillson Funeral Home 46 Williams St. Whitehall.

A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Monday November 9, 2015 at 11:00am at the Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Whitehall with Rev. Rendell Torres, pastor, officiating.

Following the mass, interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery on County Route 18, Whitehall.

A time of fellowship and refreshments following the interment will be held at Joes Pizza, 132 Broadway in Whitehall.
