George (Sonny) H. Toben

Whitehall: George H. “Sonny” Toben 79, a former resident of Maple Street, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday December 7, 2016 in the Indian River Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Granville.

He was born on January 11, 1937 in Glens Falls the son of the late George and Loretta Delorme Toben.

George was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed as a custodian at the Indian River Nursing home for over 40 Years. He was a talented artist and enjoyed building and flying model airplanes.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by two sisters Joyce Rozell and Joan Blanchette.

Survivors include his sister Carol Mattison and her husband Glenn of Fort Ann, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and also his two beloved cats Josie and Sonny.

Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home Inc. 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, New York on Saturday December 10, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Graveside services will be held in the spring in the Greenmount Cemetery, Whitehall, New York.
