James P Laraway

Whitehall: James (Jimmy) R. Laraway, 50,  died unexpectedly at his home on October 16 ,2015.

 Born in Troy, New York on July 30, 1965, he was the son of the late Katherine Smith Laraway and Norman Laraway, Sr.

Jimmy was a loving, caring man  and who would always lend  a helping hand.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing with family and friends but always had his daughter on his mind.

Beside his parents, he is predeceased by his grandparents, Doris Riley (Ma), Charles Riley (Pops) and Mr. & Mrs. Oliver Smith and several aunts and uncles.

Jimmy’s survivors include his daughter, Jessica Laraway of South Carolina, his brother, Norman Laraway, Jr. (Phyllis) of Troy, their three children Norman III, Melinda and Joshua Laraway; his significant other, Holly Maynard of Whitehall, her three children, Heather Lizotte (Kari) and her daughter, Kaydence of Fort Ann, Matthew and Christian Lizotte of Whitehall, his wife, Melissa Hilder Laraway of Whitehalll; in-laws, Raymond and Patricia Hilder of Hartford; sister-in-law, Patricia Kasuba and two brothers-in-law, Raymond and Floyd Hilder; three niece he loved, Breanne Hilder, Rachael Pratt and Samatha Kasuba; several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends he called family.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 6 PM to 7PM at the Jillson Funeral Home, 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, New York.  Family and friends are invited to a gathering at George’s Bayview Gardens following the service.
