Kevin F. Brooks

Whitehall-Kevin F. Brooks of School Street, passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2024, at his home.

Born on May 12, 1954, he was the son of the late John and Rosalie (McKenna) Brooks.

Mr. Brooks graduated from Whitehall Jr. Sr. High School in 1972.  He enlisted in the US Navy and served actively from 1976 to 1980  He then continued his service in the Naval Reserves from 1980 to 1995, where he received his retirement.

On February 18, 1995, he married Lisa M. (Wood) Brooks.

He enjoyed hunting, deep-sea fishing and cribbage.

Besides his parents he is predeceased by his brother John Brooks Jr., nephew James, and niece Jessica.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years Lisa, daughter Natalie R. Brooks, two brothers; Jim Brooks and Brian Brooks (Audrey), all from Whitehall, a sister Colleen Brooks from South Glens Falls, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call from 1pm to 4pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Jillson Funeral Home Inc., 46 Williams St, Whitehall, NY.  The Whitehall Elks Lodge 1491 will hold a Lodge of Sorrow at 3:15pm, and the Whitehall American Legion Post 83 will conduct a Legionnaires Service at 3:30pm at the funeral home.

Spring interment with full military honors will be conducted in the Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
