Whitehall-Laura Jane Ingalls, 56, of Whitehall, NY passed on to the loving arms of her parents on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 after her battle with cancer. Beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend; she died peacefully at Glens Falls Hospital with her family by her side.
Born in Bainbridge, MD on December 11, 1968, Laura spent her childhood in Pensacola, FL growing up with her many siblings. She planted her roots in Whitehall, following her family in the mid 90’s.
Laura earned her LPN license in 1995 and worked at Glens Falls Hospital; she was passionate about caring for the elderly and worked for multiple senior living facilities in Washington County. Obtaining her esthetician license in 2005, Laura practiced in the Village of Whitehall, continuing her passion for helping people feel their best. Laura was a devout Catholic involved with Our Lady of Hope, participating in Eucharistic Adoration for years. She loved spending time with her family, and her cat Mia.
Laura is preceded in death by her father, (CDR) Frederick Ingalls, her mother, JoAnn Ingalls, and her sisters Joyce and Kathy.
She is survived by her son, Freddie Ingalls, who took care of all of her needs in her final years. Her sisters; Rebecca Wickham (John), and Carol Ingalls Matheny (Pierre). Her brothers; Fred Ingalls (Karen), Ed Ingalls (Elora), and David Ingalls.
Church services will be held in Laura’s honor at Our Lady of Hope Church on Friday, February 28th with calling hours at 10:30am and the service beginning at 11:30am. She will be laid to rest at a later date at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Karen McLaughlin, Laura’s best friend who helped her with everything she needed in her final months; including lots of laughs.
