Leola (Pi) McKee

Whitehall, NY – Leola (Pi) McKee of Whitehall, NY passed away peacefully on January 27th, 2025.  She was a lifelong resident of Whitehall.  Born on November 29th, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Medric and Ada Gandron.  She married her high school sweetheart, the late Ronald “Micky” McKee.

Survivors include their children; Kim Kingsley (Bill Dignon), Billy McKee, Kathi Busse (Mike), Bobby McKee (Pam Kilmer), Jerry McKee (Bernie Snow), and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sisters; Fay Terry, Jean Michelfelder, son Jeffrey McKee and great grandson Sabastian Sheehy.

She graduated from Whitehall High School and then from the Albany School of Nursing, then worked as a school nurse for a while. 

She then worked for the town of Whitehall as the secretary to the town supervisor for 20 years.

Her life was one of passion, dedication and love for family and a devoted Catholic.  She will be deeply missed forever loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. 

A Graveside service will be on May 10, 2025 in the Greenmount Cemetery.
