Clemons: Marjorie L. Moore, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, February 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She had endured Alzheimer’s disease both at her home in Clemons and later at Fort Hudson Nursing Home.

She was born on October 14, 1933 in Albany, the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen (Brown) Hurley.

She grew up in Whitehall with her eleven brothers and sisters.

Marjorie was best known as a loving caretaker to the elderly and to her cherished grandchildren.

Her greatest joys were spending time with her family, traveling and vacationing with them. She enjoyed singing, especially nursery rhymes to her grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing and especially enjoyed listening to the music sung and played on guitars by her husband, son and grandsons. Sunny days went hand and hand with Marge and she enjoyed walking “although on cloudy days you could find her hiding away, but on sunny days, she would come out to play”.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Arthur W. Moore, who passed away on July 5, 2003; three brothers, Raymond Hurley Jr., Thomas Hurley and John Hurley; three sisters, Jean Seymour, Rosemary Brooks and Laura Steves.

She is survived by six children, Thomas Moore and his wife, Sheila of Whitehall, Terry Lyons and her husband, Tim of Hampton, Ted Moore and his fiancé, Kim Franklin of Vine Grove, Kentucky, Tony Moore and his wife, Lisa of Clemons, Todd Moore of Whitehall and Theanda Burgey and her husband, Jim of Clemons; one brother, Harold “ Jake” Hurley; four sisters, Betty DeLuca, Jackie Love, Joann Tracey and Mary Archambault; 18 grandchildren, Craig Moore and his fiancé, Ellen Donovan, Christopher Moore and his wife, Justine, Heather Daniels and her husband, Joey, Adam Moore and his wife, Carrie, Jarod Lyons and his wife, Stace, Marty Lyons, Rebecca Carter and her husband, Brett, Lyndsey Lyons, Bennie Corpening, Chuck Moore and his wife, Jennifer, Jake Moore and Jess Moore, Shaina Moore, Tommy Moore, Jannessa Austin, Cash Burgey, Levee Burgey, Aycee Burgey; 14 great grandchildren, Aiden Daniels, Ayla Daniels, Makenna Moore, Owen Moore, Matthew Evans, Sierra Evans, Britney Lyons, Timothy Lyons, Kinleigh Carter, Jazmyn Corpening, Jayda Corpening, Jayce Corpening, Teddy Moore and Melissa Moore.

Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 4PM to 6PM. Following the calling hours, a prayer service will be conducted by Wayne G. Ferguson.

Interment will be in the spring in Greenmount Cemetery in Whitehall.
