Marcy (Arquette) Gordon
March 31, 1963 ~ April 5, 2023 (age 60) 60 Years Old
Whitehall-Marcy L. Arquette Gordon, age 60 passed away peacefully on April 5th, 2023 after a short courageous battle.
Marcy was born on March 31, 1963 to Donald A. Arquette and Catherine A. Bartholomew Belden, at the Glens Falls Hospital. She attended Whitehall Central Schools and received her GED. Marcy worked in several places over the years, most recently at Stewart's in Whitehall. She married Danny J. Gordon on Feb. 14th, 1986. They spent many wonderful years together, raising their family, and separated after they were grown.
Marcy enjoyed many activities throughout her life, fishing, gardening, and kayaking were at the top of the list. She was uniquely talented in crafting beautiful treasures for family and friends. Over the years, she painted wooden crafts, mastered the art of crochet, and excelled on her sewing machine. There wasn't much she couldn't create or fix. Most recently, she enjoyed her diamond paintings.
Her favorite roll was that of "Grammy" to her three beautiful grandchildren, they were her world, and spent time with her daily. She helped with meals, school work, and lots of love, they will miss her immensely, they were her heart and soul.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her paternal and maternal grandparents, the father of her children, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her significant other, Dennis Illsley, her two children; Brad (Jamie) Gordon, and Cathrine (Joshua) Stevens, her grandchildren; Jasmine Cook, Brianna Bakerian and Brayden Bakerian, her sisters; Donna (Dan) Daigle and Angel (Pete) LaRose, and several uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
A public celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 15th from 2-6pm at the American Legion in Whitehall. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her name to a local animal shelter or the C.R. Wood Cancer Center.
