Marion M. (Gebo) Granger

Whitehall:  Marion M. Gebo Granger, 87, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Indian River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Granville following a long illness.

Born in Whitehall on July 9, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Edith Mae (Manell) Gebo.

She enjoyed playing bingo.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Luther A. Granger, Jr. who died in 2006; three brothers, Roland Gebo, John Gebo and Elden (Chico) Gebo and his wife, Veronica.

Survivors include her brother, Timothy Gebo and his wife, Thon of Whitehall; sister-in-law, Maisie Gebo of Whitehall and sister-in-law, Barbara Gebo of Whitehall and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Rendell Torres, pastor, officiating.

Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall on Tuesday, May 10 2016 from 10:30 AM until the time of the Mass.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Indian River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and where many of the staff members called her “Grandma”.

Family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Our Lady of Hope Memorial Fund, 9 Wheeler Avenue, Whitehall, NY 12887
