Clemons: Marion L. Gregory, 89 who was a 60 year resident of County Route 6, passed away on Saturday November 21, 2015 at the Orchard Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.
She was born on August 8, 1926 in Ticonderoga, New York, the daughter of late Dayton and Ethel (Wright) Moore.
Marion was a graduate of the Ticonderoga High School and in her early years she lived in Ticonderoga. She was wonderful working with wood, enjoyed the outdoors and especially hiking with her favorite dog Molly. She also enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling and watching Sunday Football. She loved animals of all kinds and refused to see them go hungry, no matter the consequences.
She was employed in her early years at the International Paper Company in Ticonderoga, later worked as a mail carrier and cleaned cottages in Huletts Landing. She enjoyed picking apples at the Sears Apple Orchard and later retired as a school bus driver for the Whitehall Central School District. After her retirement she stayed active taking care of the elderly.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by two Brothers William Moore and Robert Moore, both WWII Veterans.
She is survived by her son John Gregory and his wife Lori, her daughter Patricia Gould, Grandchildren Torrie Williams and her husband Dennis, Jamie Ballard and her husband Truman, Danielle Mackey and her husband Nick, Michael Gould and his wife Kristin, Heather Fitzgerald and her husband John. Step Grandchildren, Matthew Sargent and his finance’e Britney Gillis, Joshua Morrow, Natasha Downey and her husband Ken Jr. Great Grandchildren, Jarret, Natalie and Nathan Williams. Truman, Emily and Jillian Ballard. Paizlee and Marie Mackey. Christopher and Nickolas Gould. Step Great Grandchildren, Saydi, Naydine, Justin and Aubree Sargent. Annabella Lazans and Lucas Downey and nieces and nephews. She was the Godmother of Jamie Ballard
Marion was an amazing person and will be truly missed. She wanted to “soar with the eagles” and now she is.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial service will be held in the spring.
