Mary E. Sabo

DRESDEN: Mary E. Sabo 73 of Belden Road, Dresden passed away into the arms of the Lord on September 13, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on August 16, 1943 in Corinth.  She was the daughter of the late Casper and Mary Eddy.

Mary married the love of her life and soulmate Jacob C. Sabo Sr. on July 14, 1962.  They enjoyed 54 years together and worked with each other at Sabo’s Grocery in Hampton for over 5 years then worked together for 26 years at the North Granville Grocery until they retired in 2004.

Beside her parents Mary is predeceased by her oldest son, Jacob Sabo Jr. and her oldest sister Joyce Adams and her brother Garrie Eddy.

She is survived by her loving husband Jake, her son Scott of Rutland VT., her son Mark and his wife Tamara of Gansevoort and Matthew and his wife Mary Jo of Granville, her special grandson Scott Jr., Megan, Kelsey, Matthew Jr., Josephine, Brandon and Ryan.  Her siblings, Ruth Tooker, Shirley Knowlton, Sylvia Fitzgerald, John Eddy and Casper Eddy.

A special thank you for all the kindness showed to Mary and her Husband at the CR Wood Cancer Center, from the receptionist and all the oncology nurses, also Dr Gilliani, Elizabeth Reinhardt, Dr. Frank and Vickie Yattaw. 

Also thank you to Father Art Peters and the congregation at the Trinity Episcopal Church.

A Requiem Eucharist Mass will be celebrated on Sunday September 18, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Whitehall by Father Art Peters, Pastor officiating.

Following the Mass there will a time for refreshments and fellowship in the Church Hall.
