Monica G. Freeman

Clarksville, Arkansas: Monica G. Freeman, 64, of Clarksville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in Clarksville.

She was born March 9, 1952 in Whitehall, New York to David and Regina Doty, and grew up at 203 Broadway in Whitehall, New York.

Monica was a member of the River Valley Grace Lutheran Church, she enjoyed spending time with her family, and reading Stephen King books.  Her passion in life were her children, grandchildren, and dogs.

Monica was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, David Doty and Donald Doty.

Monica is survived by her husband, Greg Freeman of Clarksville, Arkansas; one daughter, Angela Smith and husband, Cliff, of Castleton, VT; two sons, Michael McPhee and significant other, Julie Clark Tripp, of Granville, New York, and Dennis Freeman and wife, Whitney, of Clarksville, Arkansas.  Her nine grandchildren are: David and Benjamin Bartholomew of Whitehall, New York, Charissa Cronk, Jacob and Liam McPhee of Brant Lake, New York, and Jay’Don, Bray’Len, Kae’Den, and A’kira Jewelle Freeman of Clarksville, Arkansas; one great-granddaughter, Temperance Joy; one sister, Joan Doty of Whitehall, New York; and one brother, Raymond Doty and his wife, Donna of Mechanicsville, New York; sister-in-law Fran Doty of Whitehall as well as, many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc. 46 Williams Street, Whitehall on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Whitehall United Methodist Church in Whitehall with Rev. Kevin Gebo, officiating.

Interment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Whitehall.

Following the interment, there will be a time of celebration of life and refreshments at the Church Hall.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation in Monica’s name to her favorite organizations, Morgan Nick Foundation, 1104 US-64, Alma, Arkansas 72921 and St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
