Whitehall: On the evening of April 16, 2016, Sandra A. Redmond passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Haynes House of Hope after a long illness.
Sandra was born to Stephen and Marilyn Lobo in Boston, Massachusetts on October 1, 1945.
She graduated from Granville Central School District.
Sandy married William John Redmond at the St. Mary’s Church in Granville on November 21, 1964. Sandy and Bill had been married for 44 years until his passing on January 11, 2009.
Sandy was employed with Brook’s Pharmacy, Troy/Legacy Savings Bank and most recently the Whitehall Central School District as a teaching assistant retiring due to illness.
Sandy was predeceased by her husband and parents along with Lawrence and Elizabeth Redmond (father/mother-in-law) and Pamela Lobo (sister-in-law).
Sandy enjoyed vacationing with family at Disney World and York Beach, Maine.
Left to cherish memories are her children, William and Theresa Redmond of Queensbury, Keith and Michele Redmond of Whitehall, Marc and Renee Redmond of Granville; her brother, Edward Lobo of Hampton, her sister Linda Cooper of Rutland; her grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, Marissa, Meghan, Matthew, Chandler and Brendan, along with several nieces, nephews, special friends and Bailey, her beloved Yorkie.
A special thank you to Uncle Ed, High Peaks Hospice and the staff/volunteers at the Haynes House of Hope for the outstanding care/support shown to Sandy and family members.

Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, NY on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 4PM to 6PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 am by Rev. Rendell Torres, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be at Greenmount Cemetery in Whitehall at a later date.
