Whitehall: Sue A. Mach, 62, of Pauline Street, passed away on Thursday October 27, 2016 at the home of her sister Lori Cook, surrounded by her family after a short illness.
She was born on July 21, 1954 in Troy, the daughter of the late Eugene and Loretta (Lamay) Bennett.
Sue was united in marriage to Joseph F. Mach on November 21, 1987. After twenty-three years of marriage, Joe passed away on August 28, 2011. She was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt and sister-in-law.
She attend Whitehall Central School. Sue was employed by the State of New York, Corpac as a certified welder, General Electric and loved cooking for Uncle Vito’s Pizzeria but her most favorite job was being a homemaker.
Her favorite passion was cooking and doing crossword puzzles “not the ones for dumb people”. She enjoyed going out to dinner, her many pets and donating to her favorite animal charities. She also enjoyed playing music and singing. She was very knowledgeable of artists and the year songs were released. Sue had a song to sing about any conversation. She also enjoyed gardening.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Janice Oliver, Eileen Lane and Corrine Bennett; nephew, George Lane, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her children, Melissa (Bennett) Sewell and her husband, James, Kyle Mach and his girlfriend, Leslie Appling, grandsons, Christopher Talbert and Keegan Sewell; brothers, Duane Bennett and his wife, Barbara, Garry Bennett and his wife, Linda, Charles Bennett and his wife, Tammy; sisters, Donna (Bennett) Klein and her husband, Michael, Cheryl Bennett, Lori (Bennett) Cook and her husband, Tim ,brother-in-law, David Oliver and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 3 PM to 6 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11 AM at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Whitehall, with Rev. Rendell Torres, pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Whitehall.
The family wishes to thank High Peak Hospice, The C.R. Wood Cancer Center, Glens Falls Hospital especially Dr. Stoutenburg for their compassionate care.
