Thomas Darwin Lamphere

Whitehall-Thomas Darwin Lamphere of Whitehall, NY, 88 years old, who was born on April 6, 1929 was called home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2017. He left this life at home surrounded by his family. 

Thomas was a longtime parishioner of the Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Whitehall, NY. 

He was well known in the community as a dairy farmer and carpenter.

He is survived by his sister Louise Lamphere, son Michael Lamphere and his wife Lori of Whitehall, daughters Marilyn Coffey of Ballston Spa, NY, Lou Lamphere of West Newton, Mass., Maureen Rimer of Roanoke, VA. and their spouses, 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his longtime friend and companion Joyce Bassett of Whitehall.

There will be no calling hours.  Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in the Sciota Road Cemetery.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday May 25, 2017 at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, Skene Street in Whitehall.
