Thomas Welch

Thomas Welch, 55, passed away unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack on December 22, 2022, at his home. Tom was born on June 17, 1967, at Glens Falls Hospital. He was raised by his loving late grandparents, William and Grace Longtin. After high school, Tom began working for E.B. Metals, followed by many dedicated years at Whitehall Plywood. Most recently, he was employed at Telescope which he enjoyed immensely. Tom enjoyed military history, fixing automobiles, and spending time outdoors. For the most part, he was a quiet, reserved man. However, his life changed a few years ago when he met his soulmate, Gloria Welch. They entered each other's life at seemingly the perfect time. Together, they shared many wonderful adventures and enjoyed spending time in each other's company. Through his relationship with Gloria, Tom discovered the true meaning of life – happiness and love.

Tom was predeceased by his grandparents, William and Grace Longtin, his loving wife, Gloria Wells; and his aunt, Marita DeGraff. He is survived by his adoring sister, Deborah O'Rourke and her husband, Dr. Daniel O'Rourke; his a special aunt and uncle, Marion and Michael Downey; several cousins and nephews; and his faithful dogs (Maggie and Willie) and loyal cat (Smokey). Tom's uniqueness on this earth will be missed by all who loved him, but we're all comforted in knowing he's happy and peaceful reunited with Gloria in Heaven.
