Whitehall: William W. (Butch) Manell, 77, of Blinn Street passed away on April 19, 2022 in the Glens Falls Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born on April 9, 1945 in Clemons, New York, the son of the Late William and Marilyn (Baldwin) Manell.
Butch married Pauline O’Neil in September of 1969 and raised two daughters. He started working for a Mason Union and constructed many buildings throughout the area and then
went out on his own and became a private contractor in the Whitehall area.
Butch enjoyed playing pitch with his family and friends, also stopping by Putorti’s Garage to see his buddies and making people laugh.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by Brother Ronald Manell.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Pauline Manell, two daughters Karen McLaughlin and her husband RJ, Kim LaCroix and her husband Michael, their children Mason LaCroix and Matthew LaCroix, siblings Shirley Belden (Robert), Sandy Walsh (Dave), Debbie Martel (Randy), Christine Wurthman, David Manell, Gary Manell (Barb), Tom Manell, sister-in-law Debra Manell, and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours and Graveside services will be private and conducted at a later date in
Greenmount Cemetery Whitehall. Funeral Arrangements are under the care of the Jillson Funeral Home Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, New York 12887.
