William "Skippy" Oliver Smith

Albany- William O. (Skippy) Smith, 51 of Albany, passed away due to heart condition on December 24, 2016.  He was born on February 12, 1965 in Troy.  He was the loving son of the late Oliver W. Smith Sr. and Janet M. (Bridger) Smith.

William worked for Steve and Marie Bubonia Construction Company in Albany for over 35 years.  He took after his late father and always worked hard.  William loved to fish, hunt, fast cars, drawing portraits and loved the outdoors.  He lived on the wild side but had a big heart and would help anyone in need, no matter what time of day it was.

He was funny and always joking around. He was always with his younger brother Michael “Bambie” when they were working, you could say they were like two peas in a pod.  He will be missed dearly by everybody.

He is survived by his beloved mother Janet M. Smith, who he adored as well as his brothers and sisters, Brendalee Sterns (Robert) of Middle Grove, Michael J. Smith (Samatha) of Dresden, Oliver W. Smith Jr. (Chris) of Hebron, Lorelei A. Guinan of Florida, Katherine Y. Reeks (Alun) of Whitehall and several nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home Inc. 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, NY on Friday December 30, 2016 from 4pm to 6pm.

Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
